Read and Understand, Myths and Legends, Grades 4-6+ contains 19 two- and three-page stories that vary in reading difficulty from fourth to ending sixth grades to meet the wide range of needs found in classrooms.
The book is divided into three sections by origin of the stories:

* Norse Myths—Thor and the Giants, Thor’s Hammer, Balder the Good
* Myths and Legends from Around the World—African, Chinese, Mayan, Inuit, Native American, Middle Eastern, and Hawaiian
